Well it must be said that crewing Serenity was marvelous fun. I got to play a whole range of random characters - imaginary doctor, Blue Sun operative, hostage, lawyer, Reaver!!!!, companion, wastrel and gun toting goon. As well as getting to spend ages burying a skeleton in the woods just for the players to dig up 5 minutes later! In between all this schizophrenia, I made myself useful by hugging refs and forcefeeding them coffee. But the most fun I had was with my random chuckaway NPC - the only character I wasn't briefed on, who spent quite a lot of time trying to seduce one of the players (without any success I might add! - although I have it on good authority that I was wearing him down!) Hee Hee. This eventually culminated in me getting myself on to their crew, so will be playing next event!! Although not answering to "Poon Tang Sally" (Thank you Mister Pennington!!).
So a great first time crewing, despite the lack of sleep (3:30am til 8:30am Friday night and 4:45am til 10am Saturday night), lack of food (my own fault before anyone hollers), perishing cold and excessive alcohol!!
Only minor mishap of the weekend was whilst Reavering, managed to go down in the middle of the fight and have someone fall over me - resulting in my arm going numb for 10 minutes then swelling up.
Thanks so much to everyone who was there playing, crewing and refing for making it so fun - especially [livejournal.com profile] psion_x for the loan of ego-boosting attack holster, constant hugs, amusing sherbet sword fights and dragging me to a first aider (and for just generally being cute, fluffy and ace)! Thanks also go to [livejournal.com profile] kneeshooter for reasons he is well aware of!!! (Dirty Laugh).
So after an exhausting drive home, I went to bed then got up at 5:30 to go to a course in Birmingham!! (Yes I know I'm insane).
Larp fix is therefore injected for the next few weeks (Roll on Riftworld). Now to knuckle down to Artificer DT.

Dude. It's Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. I saw it on a book.

Perhaps the spy is pretending to be a sailor.
