Tech minded peeps??
Nov. 7th, 2007 10:54 pmWell life generally boring. Trying to be enthusiastic enough to clean the house, and am making some progress - have bottomed the kitchen (including oven) and living room is looking better. May be doing some temp work from Monday for a few weeks but we'll see...
Anyone who could help me with the following it would be great:
I'm having issues with my Facebook profile. About 1/3 of the way down the page I get the following -
FBML.Contexts["b9c72423ad65"] = "O:20:\"ProfileBoxFBMLFlavor\":1:{s:9:\"_fbml_env\";a:6:{s:7:\"profile\";i:618983485;s:4:\"user\";i:618983485;s:8:\"position\";s:4:\"wide\";s:6:\"app_id\";i:2219808235;s:7:\"api_key\";s:32:\"a0bf7641206a1e479e7a6c360c84698f\";s:11:\"image_cache\";s:1:\"p\";}}"; FBML._mockAjaxProxyUrl = "http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/fbml\/mock_ajax_proxy.php"
instead of the rest of the stuff that should be there. I'm assuming this is the link to something that my computer is unable to display.
It was fine until about a week ago, and still displays fine on
shazrasha's computer, so I'm assuming it's something with my machine. I have the lastest version of Firefox and Flash Player and have even updated to the latest version of Java manually as well.
Any suggestions??

Date: 2007-11-08 08:49 am (UTC)If they've written the site so that different browsers etc. get given different pages (a not uncommon thing to make things work on both Firefox and IE which behave slightly differently) then it's possible it's not working properly. Try a different browser on the same machine (e.g. IE rather than Firefox) and see if that makes a difference.
A quick google suggests to me this is a problem with a "gift".
Also, make sure JavaScript (not Java, which is something different) is enabled (it'll be built into the browser, but there's normally an option to disable it). AJAX makes use of JavaScript to provide some of the bells and whistles on various pages.

Date: 2007-11-08 02:55 pm (UTC)Doesn't seem to be a problem with the browser, as I still have the same problem with IE, and
Have checked that Javascript is enabled and it is.
Not sure what else I can try, thanks for your help
