Maelstrom rocked. Slotted 16 times, every muscle in body hurts, loved getting my war on.

Also great to catch up with people, loads of hugs, more new friends, roll on June event.

In addition to this, a guy who is writing a book about the Islands of Britain (provisional title Island Fever, should be out some time in 2010), has asked to use some of my photographs. Nearly fainted with pride, will be properly published, woot, yeay and more details to follow.

And to top it all off it's my birthday tomorrow!

Now I have to finish Artificer dt and start preparing for Crusades which I've just realised is 3 weeks on Friday, zOMG!!

Three weeks? So it is. Eek!

I am reasonably OK for time - I have made a tunic, a pair of large trousers, and a sash. Niel is making my sword. I have a coat for me and a sleeveless coat for Niel left to do. If I have time I might make a spare tunic :-)

He's making a sword?! I got one at Maelstrom that is making me all sorts of happy, just need to work out a nice way of carrying it. Armour is a bust at moment, though I will have the skill. There is no way I'm going to be able to carry the extra weight even if I wanted to. Don't worry I plan on taking a few other things to make up for it.

He's making three swords, two for him, and one for me.

I will be bringing my aluminium mail along, and only plan on wearing it if things really kick off so it will be available if anyone else feels the need. Its incredibly light, I didnt notice the weight at all at Brit Rex.

I only mention that I might not be able to wear it as I'm currently unable to really raise the arm or pick up much of weight with my left hand without it hurting. I had just leather pauldron's at Maelstrom and that was causing issues. I may be less broken by then I may not. It's a bit hard to tell.

I was unaware that he made swords. I only bought the one I got because it was the perfect weight for me out of the 7 I tried.

I think he usually just makes swords for himself, but I blagged him into making me one this time.

Cant remember what the company was called now, as a friend arranged it for me. I'll dig around and see what I can find.
