Invisible Roadworks

Well this week has been fairly non-descript, work busy, but somehow slighty less stressful now my boss has gone through the excessively naggy phase into the floaty silly place I prefer him to be. That is where he screams argh!! down the phone, feels the need to sing one cornetto loudly and have elastic band fights (some people have odd ways of dealing with stress!). Still it does making having a serious conversation with him somewhat of a challenge.


On Monday the council were supposed to be starting sewer works on my route to work. Four days later they seem to have acheived covering up the existing speed limit signs with black plastic stuff and replacing them with ones saying 30. No wonder it is going to take them 24 weeks if that's what they've acheived so far.

Well for anyone who doesn't already know I go to modern jive on a Monday night, I have been doing it for about 6 weeks now and am really starting to enjoy it. I just have a slight issue with allowing someone else to lead (what me? a control-freak?). This week was great fun as a lot more people asked me to dance - especially the people they have assisting with the class as they are there to help specifically people who've been dancing less than 2 months, and there were only 2 of us. Hee hee, I hardly got to sit down and got very thirsty after a while - the plus point being I seem to be improving! Only mishap was when I was dancing with one of the women, I anticipated what she was going to do and ended up thumping myself in the forehead, which she thought was hilarious. At least it will teach me to stop trying to lead!!

For anyone who is wondering, Murphy is doing very well in his new home, I haven't been to see him yet as I'm finding it a bit too emotional. The people at the place he has gone to seem to have appointed him as their new Pin-up Boy!!
For anyone who doesn't know he's the one in all the pictures :D. Missing him loads, but glad to see he's doing well.

This week was entertaining, especially the part where our slayer phoned the vicarage and asked to be put on the phone to our talking cat... hmm rather interesting. But at least we seem to have held off impending doom for another week, despite the descendance of rabid plot bunnies ...

Well all in all looking forward to the weekend when shazrasha and I will be visiting midnightoak and lucian_albrecht. Hooray for much hilarity and shopping (of that I have no doubt, be still Mr Switch Card).

I'm glad Murphy is alright! It looked like a lovely place in the pics. Dancing is so fun but I don't have time for it - school, work and horse takes too much time. Though, I don't know how to dance jive....
