See - for all of you who pestered and persuaded me to get an LJ, this is the first time I have posted anything since May 17th!! I start off with such enthusiasm then it all goes out of the window. Oh well never mind. So life... hmm well a little blargh at the moment. Work is bizarre as there are half a dozen of us rattling around in a huge building just waiting to be told we don't have to go in anymore. The company has been sold and all the business is moving down to London. We just don't know when.
So I'm on the lookout for a new job. In a way it is good as there isn't much to do most of the time so I'm spending pretty much all my day working on my accountancy distance learning course, and so am getting quite well through this module. My goal is to sit the exam before Christmas. It is computer based assessment so you just have to ring and arrange the exam when you are ready like with the driving theory test. This is good as there is no pressure of a deadline to complete the work. On the other hand it is bad as there is no pressure of a deadline to complete the work. If you see what I mean.
In other news Maelstrom held its usual craziness, although I think perhaps as previously mentioned this event was a little more so than most. However, we seem to be making progress which is good, and we are all still alive which is frankly miraculous. Looking forward to the Easter event when we will hopefully have new players!!
So now we have only 3 weeks until Artificer which sounds like it's going to be great. We have the inside scoop that there is lots of plot for us (oh joy).
Other than that I have been entertaining myself by re-reading the entire Harry Potter series in 4 weeks and infuriating [livejournal.com profile] shazrasha by making "ah", "oh" and other noises analogous to a smug realiser of how things suddenly seem to make sense.
Seriously it is worth re-reading the whole series after you have read the last one as you get a lot you might have missed the first time. It also explains why certain things were important.
So I shall now stop waffling bollocks. Still addicted to my Nintendo DS, also my PC now as I have got Zoo Tycoon 2 which is marvelous.
That's pretty much it for now - other than a comment on the excitement that is motor racing, as all the major car and bike series' are reaching the end of their respective seasons. Absolutely loving British Superbikes - so if you aren't watching it already the next meeting is 23rd (a week on sunday) at Donington Park. Coverage is on ITV4 from 3pm. It is the penultimate round of the season so there should be much excitement.

Well I must go do something constructive, and will endeavor to post less and more often in future (you already know that's a lie).

Quote of the day: "Hah. No, no, no. No-- you becoming a super-sexy
warrior is what got us into this mess"

I just wanted to say how very pleasant it was to meet you at Maelstrom!

You say there may be new players (plural) - does that mean there will be other new shiny people to play with?

I hope that Artificer is as much fun as it looks & will look forward very much to whenever you next decide to post; the longer the better, I say!
